THE LATEST IN LEE & WOLFE NEWS:
"Steve and Johnnie - Monsters of Radio"
O.k., so the biggest radio station in the world interviewed us. (See last week's newsletter for an explanation of why they'd care.) We have now seen radio excellence, and it's name is "Steve and Johnnie." Oh, sure, we'd call most anyone excellent that enjoys our material and plugs our show on a massive 14-squillion-watt radio staion in a big city. But these two are entertaining and friendly folks. Steve and Johnnie are a married duo who do the overnight show on WGN-AM 720 in Chicago, and you can read about them at [
http://wgnradio.com/shows/steve_johnnie/index.html ]. They spent about 10-15 minutes talking with us via telephone on their show about us, our show, our job prospects, and radio in general. Fun, fun, fun. They even agreed to assist in "The 101.7 Thing" (see last week's newsletter or our website at [ http://v91.simplenet.com/leewolfe/jobbyjob/1077.htm ] by calling them and recommending us. A call from WGN? That's like a call from the radio mafia bosses, isn't it? It's all who you know... But despite Steve and Johnnie's suggestion, Wolfe and I will not be sleeping together. Do whaaa?? We'll explain that next week when we get a tape of the show, and make it available on our website, assuming they don't mind. That's the approximate title of an article being written for a new nationwide college news wire. A photographer by the name of Dana who works for the local campus newspaper, The Crimson White, was asked to contribute to said story, and she decided to take pictures of our lovely countenances. If we're lucky, our pictures, and hopefully our story, will appear as part of the article in college newspapers across the country. I mean, hey, if you're writing about college radio, you just gotta mention the #1 show in the nation... right? We'll see, and we'll let you know. Dana was brave enough to come to our home and take pictures of us in our natural state. Therefore, the pictures will have black bars carefully placed across the image. We could hardly get her to leave. You know how women get around Lee & Wolfe, all clingy and stuff...

"Wolfe Still Has Not Cleaned Up Our Kitchen"
I never see him in there doing anything except stuffing his face. The counter tops are sticky like a movie theatre floor after a showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Jesus, he's a slob. If it weren't for me acting like a parent around here, we'd both have anthrax by now, with our eyes liquifying. I'm calling the fridge "the fuzzbox" nowadays.
"Let's Take A Good Look At The Kitchen, Shall We?"
No, actually, 80% of the mess is Lee's. There is a small collection one one side of the sink. From where I sit, I can just see the edges of some plates sticking over the top. Lee's side, on the other hand, extends around the counter-top towards the stove. As for him acting like a parent, I should turn him over to social services, which I happen to know that I can do.
